Video: Dr. Jerilynn Prior discusses The Pill at 50
To mark the 50th anniversary of the birth control pill, TV Ontario program The Agenda with Steve Paikin hosted a panel discussion of the cultural and medical significance of the Pill. The wide-ranging discussion examines whether the pill ushered in the Sexual Revolution or was significant to the Women's Movement, the unintended consequences/side effects of the pill, the subsequent rise of the women's health movement, whether the development of the pill stifled future contraceptive research and development, and how a younger generation of women view the pill. Joining CeMCOR's Dr. Jerilynn Prior on the panel was Judy Rebick, Christabelle Sethna, and Kate Lunau (for more information on the panelists, click here).
