NEWS: CeMCOR Study Shows Progesterone Effectively Treats Hot Flushes in Menopause
CeMCOR is proud to announce the release of our latest study results which show that progesterone is an effective treatment for menopausal hot flushes and night sweats. Dr. Jerilynn Prior and Christine Hitchcock, PhD presented these exciting results at The Endocrine Society's 92nd Annual Meeting in San Diego in June 2010. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 114 women is the first to show that progesterone is more effective than placebo at treating menopausal vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes and night sweats) and provides a treatment alternative for women who can't or shouldn't take estrogen.
CeMCOR would like to extend a thanks to the many women who volunteered for this study. Your participation was invaluable and we hope you learned as much as we did in this study. Thank you!
